Coombe Abbey is celebrating after winning a major national hotel award for its classical bedrooms.

The Brinklow-based hotel can proudly proclaim that its Grand Feature Bedchambers are the best in the UK, outside the M25, after winning the Best Classical Bedroom Award at the national Conference and Hospitality Show Awards 2015.

Coombe Abbey Hotel took the industry accolade at a glittering awards ceremony held at The Queens Hotel in Leeds, beating off tough competition from fellow finalists including Weston Park, The Jockey Club Rooms and Stoke Rochford Hall.

The Conference and Hospitality Show Awards seek to showcase, across 12 individual categories, the best facilities and offerings across the UK hotel and hospitality sector outside the M25.

As well as winning the Best Classical Bedroom Award, Coombe Abbey Hotel was also a finalist in the Best Afternoon Tea category, only beaten on the night by category winner Oulton Hall Hotel and Spa.

June Picken, our Sales Director, said: “we are absolutely delighted to have won Best Classical Bedroom Award at the national Conference and Hospitality Show Awards 2015.

As a national award recognising the best in the UK, it’s a tremendous accolade for our Grand Feature Bedchambers to receive the top award, and we are really proud of our achievement.

With such a range of entrants from across the UK, we were particularly proud as a Coventry and Warwickshire based hotel to showcase the area as an attractive visitor location.

We hope winning the award helps raise the profile of Coventry and Warwickshire, and that it plays its part in encouraging more visitors to Coombe Abbey Hotel and the region.”

The Best Classical Bedroom Award rounds off a fantastic week of award recognition for Coombe Abbey Hotel, as we also made it through to the final of the Mills and Boon Romantics Awards, a national awards initiative celebrating the UK’s most romantic things.

Coombe Abbey Hotel made it through to the final three venues – Yorkshire Dales-based Yorebridge House, and Lake District-based Boutique Church Suites completing the final trio – following an online public vote running from March through to late April.

At an awards ceremony held at the Mini Shard building in London, Coombe Abbey Hotel narrowly missed out on being named as the UK’s Most Romantic Venue, with the title going to Yorebridge House.
