Entry Requirements for all casual roles:
All of our positions require someone that is a motivated individual, ideally (but not essentially) someone who has worked in a similar role within the hospitality industry. As a No Ordinary Team Member, it is paramount that you are a team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

More importantly, you will have a desire and passion for perfection and want to deliver an exceptional service to our guests. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest possible standard of cleanliness and good order in all public areas of the hotel. You will report any defects to the Housekeeper. You will also assist in any way that may be necessary to ensure the efficiency and smooth running of the Housekeeping Department working as part of a team.

We are looking for a Banqueting Manager to join our team to organise and monitor the quality of customer events whilst overseeing the whole department. They will be responsible for supervising the quality of services offered to customers, in terms of both production and delivery. It is essential that candidates demonstrate leadership skills, with strong emphasis on reactivity to ensure the team evolves continually providing excellent service at all times. Attention to detail, strong organisational skills and thoroughness are all required.

Candidates must have experience in a similar role in a hotel of similar quality.

The successful individual must have the ability to make a big difference to a special day, be it a wedding or special event it has to be right first time. Candidates need to demonstrate a can-do attitude, providing real attention to detail and a desire and determination to make a difference. The team have to go out of their way to make every event, of every size, truly memorable.

The successful individual will have excellent time management skills with the ability to instruct a team to ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with Company standards. An excellent standard of English and maths with experience in Microsoft packages. The ideal candidate will take a proactive and professional approach whilst having excellent listening skills.

Key duties in this role will include:
- Processing guest arrivals and departures efficiently and professionally
- Advising and up selling of our hotel products and services
- Processing payments accurately and to hotel standards
- Ensuring administration is accurate and timely, completing relevant reports
- Providing a cheerful and efficient switchboard service, routing calls and taking messages accurately where necessary.

This is full time, permanent position and candidates will need to have a flexible approach and be able to work evenings and weekends to cover the reception shifts

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to work at our busy hotel, this role is responsible for ensuring both the hotel and grounds are maintained and all necessary repairs and upkeep is carried out accordingly The successful candidate will ensure that all maintenance requests are dealt with quickly and effectively whilst supporting the existing team . This is a full time position working a 40 hour week.

As a Room Attendant you will be responsible for maintaining the highest possible standard of cleanliness and good order and ensure that guest supplies are replenished. You will also keep the service area, cupboards and guest corridors today and clean. Furthermore, you will report any defects in the rooms and hand any lost property to the Housekeeper. You will also assist in any way that may be necessary to ensure the efficiency and smooth running of the Housekeeping Department.

We are currently looking at recruiting bubbly, ambitious people to add a smile to our bars. Previous bar and customer service experience would be an advantage but personality and motivation are the key ingredients to this role where you will be the face and personality of the bar. Not only will you be able to pour and serve drinks but you will be able to maintain appropriate stock levels, keep equipment in excellent condition whilst displaying a calm presence to enlighten the guests. Due to UK licensing laws candidates must be 18 years of age of over.

We are looking for a driver to assist with getting our staff to and from Coombe Abbey, the successful candidate will have a pro active approach with good time keeping skills. The hours for this role are 7am until 11am and then 3pm until 7pm there is the possibility of two people sharing the role and splitting the shifts.

We are looking for someone to lead our bars team ensuring that we offer the best possible customer service to all of our guests attending to their every need. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role and will need to be organised, have good attention to detail and have a flexible approach.

We have a vacancy for a well presented porter to provide an efficient and courteous service to our guests. This role entails meeting and greeting hotel guests, answering any queries they may have, helping them with check in and escorting them to rooms with luggage. In addition you will have responsibility for assisting in the setting up of conference and events rooms to an exceptionally high standard and to the guests’ specific requirements.
Manual lifting and handling is a key requirement of the role as well as strong attention to detail and exemplary communication skills.
