An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic experienced Conference Supervisor to join our established Events Team. The successful individual will work towards the smooth and efficient operational running of the Conference side of our Events Department. It is essential to ensure that all events are executed to the highest of standards ensuring that the customer’s expectations are exceeded every time.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Promptly welcoming all customers on arrival to any function in order to ensure they feel comfortable and relaxed and to ensure their expectations are met. Also be available to meet organisers prior to the event.
- Ensuring that all equipment is in place in accordance with the Function Sheet to ensure the smooth running of all events.
- Serving buffet lunches
- Overseeing the service of tea and coffee stations
- Attending all meetings when the Conference Operations Manager is unavailable
This is a full time position, working five days out of seven Candidates ideally need to have a proven track record of Supervising Events in a similar establishment and have had responsibility for managing other team members
Working as part of the team you will serve our guests at Mediaeval Banquets, Murder Mystery Evenings and other such functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our room attendants are maintaining the highest possible standards of cleanliness and good order throughout the hotel. You will address any defects in the rooms and oversee that guest supplies are replenished in accordance with daily checks. An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic person to join our busy Sales Team to ensure that all incoming bookings and enquiries are dealt with efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will convert all bookings at the right rate ultimately maximising room sales and revenue opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and motivating the Reservations team to ensure all targets are met
- Being fully aware of product pricing and content
- Be aware of seasonal promotions and target volumes

This is a full time position fixed term position (40 hours per week), working shifts in accordance with business requirements. The successful candidate will be organised and accurate with excellent attention to detail and ideally have carried out work in a similar role
