Christmas Mediaeval Banquet
Available on 26th & 27th November and 1st - 23rd December 2010
Christmas Eve 1539. Abbot Keyner has thrown open the doors of the Abbey and has invited the poor and needy of the district to share a simple meal, before celebrating the Christmas Mass. The Monks enter with fine foods and wine - but alas it is destined for the Abbot's table. Things are thrown into turmoil when the King's Commissioners burst in, demarnding the title
deeds to the Abbey, seizing as much of the place as they can. The Monks are literally thrown out into the gutter.
