Starting with the Head Teacher's Spelling Lesson - where the pupils learn a very useful spell - the afternoon includes other mystical lessons and activities, a magical three course 'school dinner', a visit from the Owls and the appearance of an uninvited ghostly guest......
Young muggles captivated by the latest Harry Potter movie and the release of the next instalment in July 2009 can brush up on a few magic tricks and spells at historic Coombe Abbey's own School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Young Wizards can have a truly magical experience just like Harry Potter at Hogwarts.
At this special ticketed event, children will meet the Owls, then watch the magical skills of the 800 year old Great Wizard of Coombe in the eerie setting of The Abbeygate's Great Hall with its dark passages and flaming torches. Black robes and pointed hats are appropriate costume for the scrumptious Magic Banquet of Coombly Wizards Broth, Dragon Dogs, Spirls and Cheese with Doxy Beans and Floober Wooble and Abominable Dollops.
Owls arrive at 12.30 pm.
