Coombe Abbey Hotel Revealed as one of East Warwickshire's 'Top 5 Wedding Venues

The top five most popular venues for civil wedding ceremonies in the eastern area of Warwickshire have been revealed by Warwickshire Registration Services.
In the period 2005 to 2008 registrars in Warwickshire performed an amazing 2,201 wedding ceremonies across the county - an average of 40 weddings a week! Over 1,140 of these took place at venues other than register offices that have been approved to host marriages.
Warwickshire continues to be one of the most popular areas in the country for civil marriages, and more civil weddings are taking place in approved premises rather than in register offices. Coombe Abbey, Binley is one of those venues named in their top five venues. It has five rooms licenced to hold civil ceremonies which can cater for small intimate gatherings or rooms which can take a large number of guests.
Diane Lampard, Superintendent Registrar for Warwickshire East said: "The area offers a wonderful range of wedding venues, regardless of whether you want a small family gathering or the largest of celebrations.
"If you do want a religious ceremony, a civil marriage can be performed by registrars from Warwickshire Registration Services at any venue that holds a licence to host weddings. The registrars will guide you through the legal formalities and ensure that your day runs as smoothly as possible.
"There are many ways that the ceremony can be made more personal to you. The registrars can offer a choice of vows, readings and music and, as it is your special day, your own suggestions are welcome".
