Originally founded as an abbey in the 12th century, our historical hotel has had an interesting life. The Abbey was surrendered to King Henry VIII during the dissolution of the monasteries and the future Queen Elizabeth I even lived here as a child. All of our bedrooms are unique in character and style with beautiful countryside views, whilst our onsite restaurant and bar offers guests fresh, delicious dishes everyday.
With over 500 acres of parkland, there’s plenty to explore in Coombe Abbey Park. Designed by Capability Brown, the grounds have been thoughtfully laid out to welcome everyone. Whether you’re a dog walker or bird watcher, looking for a family day out or a romantic stroll, you’ll find plenty to explore on a walk around our grounds.
Coombe Abbey Park is also home to a conservation area and historic woodland. High in the treetops, you’ll now also be able to find our new Go Ape attraction perfect for a day’s adventure. With a range of packages available, it’s a great day out for friends, family or corporate team away days.
Coombe Abbey Park’s tranquil lake offers a serene spot to sit down and soak up the views. Our mature estate lake covers 80 acres and is home to a variety of wildlife. Perfect for leisurely lakeside walks, enjoy feeding the resident ducks or try your luck at fishing with one of our day or season fishing tickets.
