It’s been a quiet few years – so let’s make Christmas 2022 extra special.

Bring together your family and friends and enjoy a truly spectacular festive lineup here at Coombe Abbey.

Look no further for things to do for Christmas this year. We’re promising unmissable gatherings, Glamour Balls, and good tidings galore through November, December, and January.

1. Join the D-Day Darlings for carols and afternoon tea

things to do for Christmas

Forget the carol singers at your door: you’ll want to go “out” out to catch this spectacular performance.

The D-Day Darlings have captured hearts young and old with their wartime renditions – so much that they’ve climbed the UK charts and performed for the Royal Family.

Join them live for some nostalgic favourites, complete with a Christmas-inspired afternoon tea.

Each attendee will get a selection of festive finger sandwiches, cakes, a freshly baked scone, and a hot drink as they enjoy the show.

This is the perfect family affair, bringing generations together for an afternoon of Christmas cheer.

2. Attend a festive Mediaeval Banquet…

things to do for Christmas

Raise your goblets to a historic night! All are invited to this evening of fun, feasts, and festivities.

After being welcomed with a glass of mead, you’ll sit down to a four-course banquet and a live stage show…where the drama of yesteryear unfolds.

Then, it’s time to party like it’s 1539! The music and bar will go on into the night.

Grab a group of friends and join this (very) merry evening, or make your banquet private and hold a Christmas work party like no other.

Come dressed smart or in your finest mediaeval attire.

3. …or a Gatsby Glamour Ball

Experience the Gatsby lifestyle for just one night at our roaring Glamour Ball.

Enter the Marquee to find live entertainment, casino tables, and a cocktail in your hand. You’ll sit down to an opulent four-course meal – and, after that, the dance floor opens…

Invite your friends, family, or work colleagues – as long as they come dressed in their smartest outfit or best 1920s ensemble.

4. Explore the winter light trail in awe

The magical light experience, Luminate, is coming to Coombe. Wrap up warm and follow this enchanting show through the Abbey grounds.

This is a mile of mesmerising light features and 3D light illusions, set to calming ambient music. Go at your own pace and enjoy every detail – what will you spot?

It’s the perfect family night out, especially for those who don’t want to attend fireworks.

This stunning light show also creates the perfect romantic setting for couples – particularly those who want a great photo. Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment!

5.  See in 2023 at the New Year’s Eve Ball
