We’re excited to share that Coombe Abbey has been featured in a recent Forbes article highlighting the best places to eat in Warwickshire for 2026.
In the feature, travel editor Lewis Nunn describes Warwickshire as “one of the UK’s unsung culinary heartlands”, before spotlighting the Garden Room Restaurant at Coombe Abbey as one of the standout destinations in the county.
The restaurant itself is described as “like waltzing into a fairytale conservatory”, with “soaring ceilings hung with brass caged lanterns and bird cage dining pods nestled among potted olive trees”. Set within our historic 12th century abbey, it is a space designed to feel both relaxed and memorable.
The article also highlights our approach to modern British dining, from “soft boiled quail eggs” and “Shetland mussels” to our well known steak and ale pie, also referred to as “Tom’s Pie”, alongside dishes like lamb rack and beef fillet with truffle.
