Our Mediaeval Banquet menu is steeped in history, with rustic flavours designed to reflect the hearty meals of centuries past. Guests dine by candlelight at long, draped banquet tables, goblets of wine and lager in hand.
The Banquet Menu includes:
- Vegetable, herb and white bean pottage with stoneground bread
- Marinated rib of swine cooked with sage, cider and honey
- Quarter roasted fowl rolled in mace, tarragon and black pepper, in a sharp lemon and mead sauce. Served with buttered corn on the cob, herby diced potato and rustic salad
- Apple and apricot crumble topped with elderflower cream
Drinks flow freely throughout the evening, beginning with a welcome mead cocktail and followed by wine and lager with your meal.

Not a meat-eater? Our Mediaeval Banquet also offers a full Vegetarian Menu, crafted with the same hearty flavours and rustic flair.
The Vegetarian Menu includes:
- Vegetable, Herb & White Bean Pottage with stoneground bread
- Herb Infused Arancini Cake with roasted tomato sauce
- Roasted Butternut Squash, Spinach & Wild Mushroom Strudel with a plant-based creamy leek sauce
- Apple & Apricot Crumble topped with elderflower cream
