The Coombe Abbey Visitor Centre is home to the new Abbey Artisan Market, celebrating fresh local Warwickshire produce. Open 7 days a week, you can browse the wide range of independent goodies for spring and summer.

We’re proud to collaborate with local butchers, bakers, craft breweries, and more. What’s more, our scenic country grounds are the perfect location to pop by and pick up some fresh, unique treats.

Here’s why we think the Artisan Market at Coombe Abbey is such an exciting new addition…

1. It’s perfect for a picnic

Dining al fresco is one of the most luxurious ways to spend a summer lunchtime. However, there’s no need to drag a hamper around all day. The Artisan Market at Coombe Abbey has all you need to build a picnic like no other.

Put together a family Ploughman’s lunch with the market’s range of local cheeses, pies, and artisanal chutneys. Or, perhaps you’d prefer a garden tea fit for a queen. Enjoy freshly-baked goods and puddings – you could even fashion an Eton Mess in true royalty style with meringues, decadent curds and sauces on offer.

Coombe Abbey has four designated picnic areas, but visitors are welcome to find their own spot to eat. Explore the picturesque woodland walks away from the hustle and bustle…and relax.

2. We showcase local produce

Supporting local businesses has never been quite so important. We are proud to say that our Artisan Market champions the wonderful produce around us.

We’ve worked with the award-winning 1000 Trades Distillery to create Coombe Abbey Gin – a perfect souvenir to remember the trip by.

You will also find fresh and cured meats from Aubrey Allen, a family-owned butcher that has operated in Leamington Spa for over 80 years.

Our local partners are too many to name here – so why not find out for yourself?

3. It’s fresh, clean, and conscious

There’s something for everyone at the Coombe Abbey Artisan Market. It may be the perfect spot to indulge, but it’s equally a hub for healthy treats. Those looking to detox are sure to find something a little different from the usual supermarket options. One of our faves is the new Dash Water, which comes in raspberry, blackcurrant, peach or lemon – all 0 calories! Shop with the peace of mind that everything has come from just minutes away.

You can also enjoy vegan treats and gluten-free options galore. Top-quality, independent, and conscious produce…we’re proud to serve it all.

4. It’s a convenient spot to swing by

Why not add a trip to the Artisan Market into your day at Coombe Abbey?
Situated in the Visitor Centre near the main park entrance, it’s an ideal place to pick up a snack before your trip (we recommend the Italian cannolis) or search for souvenirs on the way home. Our range of old-school Fentimans botanical drinks are a refreshing luxury option for everyone, designated driver included.

Perhaps friends and family are at Go Ape, but you’d prefer to stay a little closer to the ground. There’s all the time in the world to browse…it is Sunday, after all.

5. It’s a one-stop shop for hotel guests

The market is also a fantastic option for our Coombe Abbey Hotel visitors. When you don’t fancy eating at a restaurant, there’s the option to keep things more low-key. Put together an extra-special dinner for a more intimate night or get some fuel before a day of fishing.

Search for an unforgettable summer stay in our hotel or plan your day trip. We’d love to have you!

And don’t forget, we’re also taking part in the Artisan Market Event that takes place outside Coombe Abbey Visitor Centre every last Sunday of the month up to December. Read more here.
