With May in full swing, and with the promise of warmer months on the cards, dining out in our Garden Room restaurant is a true delight. As you sit down for a delicious meal, you’ll be treated to bounds of light shining through the ceiling-high windows, letting in the beauty of our stunning Warwickshire gardens that surround the restaurant. Tempted? Here are five dishes we’re most excited for you to try this May.

Chef’s favourite

Our Chef’s current favourite dish is the Knighted Baron Of Coombe Steak, a regally named 32 ounce sirloin steak that’s cooked to your liking, hand carved and brought out to your table on wooden boards. Served with an array of delicious vegetables and all the trimmings, this is perfect for sharing with a loved one, or enjoying on your own if you’re feeling particularly indulgent.

A twist on traditional

Our chefs pride themselves on their ability to transform a traditional dish into something spectacular. A recent example of this is our slow cooked, outdoor reared pork cheeks starter, which is served with violet mustard mash, pork popcorn and finished with a pork reduction. Tender, crunchy and mouthwateringly tasty, this dish is a must.

The main event

Whoever said vegetarians miss out, clearly never enjoyed dinner in our Garden Restaurant. Dig into our twice-baked, smoked applewood soufflé, a richness that’s complemented perfectly by the earthy flavours of the beetroot carpaccio, watercress and pine nut pesto salad.

Summer sweets

Looking for the perfect summertime dessert? Why not give our white chocolate semi-sphere a try? Paired with indulgent white chocolate mousse, vanilla sponge and a rose and raspberry sorbet – If summer was a dessert, this definitely would be it.

Father’s Day treats

Just a short walk from our Garden Restaurant is the Cloisters Room, where our Father’s Day meal will be hosted on Sunday 18th June. You can look forward to starting with our English Charcuterie selection, followed by a Roasted Crown of Corn Fed Poussin, which is served with creamed leeks and mushrooms. Finish your Father’s Day with one of our many mouthwatering desserts, including an Apple and Gooseberry Crumble topped with stem ginger ice cream – divine. Can’t make it for Father’s Day? Our “We Cook, You Carve” is available any day of the week – the perfect treat for Dad and the whole family!
