If you’re looking for a more leisurely way to explore Coventry and Warwickshire’s countryside than by foot, why not book yourself onto a canal boat tour? Come and indulge yourself with our Abbots Afternoon Tea at Coombe Abbey available during July. Tuck in to fresh finger sandwiches such as oak smoked salmon, cream cheese and watercress, or smoked ham and sticky pickle relish before trying our selection of cakes. From puff pastry praline fingers and flat peach tartlet, to freshly baked scones with strawberry jam and whipped Cornish clotted cream – you’ll have plenty to try! We’re also offering a Knight’s Afternoon Tea during July, with a savoury selection of treats including mini south west lamb and coriander burgers with green tomato chutney and freshly baked cheese and bacon scones. There really is something for everyone to enjoy with our Afternoon Tea selection!

With over 20 acres of lakes, Bosworth Water Park offers the whole family a chance to enjoy a variety of watersports, including pedalo rides, kayaking or sailing. There’s also the chance to relax on the golden white sand of the ‘Blue Lagoon Beach’ and enjoy some family time together by Coventry and Warwickshire’s inland beach.

What could be better than watching The Greatest Showman underneath the stars on a warm summer evening? Cult Screens are running Top Gun, The Darkest Hour and The Greatest Showman films in an open air cinema in the ruins of Coventry Cathedral on certain dates in July. Popcorn and drinks available!

Kenilworth Abbey Fields Outdoor Lido

Keep the kids cool in the Abbey Fields outdoor swimming pool in Kenilworth. The pool is perfect for younger swimmers and is a popular place for families during the summer holidays. Spend a few hours splashing about together before heading back to Coombe Abbey Hotel for a good night’s sleep.
