Our internal procedures cover the storage, access and disclosure of your information. When you agree to sign up to our email newsletter we need to know your name and email address. We gather this information to allow us to provide you with an email every few weeks which contains information about promotional offers or hotel news we think may be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe from our contact list at any time by replying to a marketing email with the word “unsubscribe” in the subject line or by emailing us at email@example.com.
We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services and may provide such aggregate information to third parties. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.
For any data that is collected and stored when a booking is made on our website, such as for events or vouchers, or items for purchase are added into a shopping cart online it will be securely shared with our third-party payment platform – Woocommerce.
When a cart belonging to a registered customer or a guest customer is abandoned or inactive for 15 minutes, an automatic email will be sent after 4 hours regarding items left in the shopping cart.
All information you provide to us is stored on our third parties’ secure servers and will only be used for marketing purposes and handled by the marketing team at Coombe Abbey Hotel. For data handled by Woocommerce, data is stored in a WordPress database which is hosted in a secure data centre in the UK.
Our employees and third party service providers may access your information when providing a service such as online booking and third party consultants offering marketing support. All of our employees and data processors that have access to, and are associated with the processing of your personal information are obliged to respect the confidentiality of our visitors information.
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
If you are applying for a job opening at Coombe Abbey using our career form and have sent us your personal details as part of the application process, all information is stored securely on site at Coombe Abbey and is only used for reference purposes. All data will be cleansed 6 months after receiving application if a candidate is unsuccessful.
Any data collected from the website that has not been transferred to a third party platform will be deleted. This data cleansing process will be carried out monthly.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
