To help you decide, we sat down with our Events Coordinator to discuss the beautiful rooms we have to offer, why they’re perfect for certain events and our own, specially created events packages, guaranteed to give you an evening’s entertainment you won’t forget.

Perfect for a large wedding
Our stunning Marquee – it caters for up to 500 guests and with windows overlooking the landscaped gardens, it is the perfect setting for wedding breakfasts and evening receptions. The elegant decor, ivory lined walls and shimmering star cloth draped delicately above the dance floor completes the romantic mood.
Perfect for a small wedding
Ideal for small weddings of up to 30 guests, The Harrington creates a wonderfully intimate ambience with its age-old etchings on the windows and view across the moat. It’s also a great choice for private dining parties.
The Stuart Room is another great choice, especially in the Spring and Summer months as it features French doors that lead out onto the west terrace. The flowing drapes and Art Deco style also add a touch of romance to the room which can accommodate up to 60 guests for a wedding ceremony and 40 guests for a wedding breakfast.
Perfect for large conferences
A former regal tennis club house dating back to the 18th century, The High Court is a unique setting that also has a private bar and accommodates up to 140 people.
If you’re looking to hold a small meeting, The Griffin, with its panelled walls and fireplace for that signature Coombe Abbey look, can cater for up to eight delegates in a boardroom style set up. It is also ideal for interviews.
Perfect for large parties
For large parties of up to 80 people, we have The Cloisters. The tall feature windows give the room a light and airy feel, and the stunning Baroque interiors add a touch of elegance. In the summer, guests can spill out into the patio area and enjoy the gorgeous views and in the winter, guests can stay cosy by the magnificent fireplace that brings the room to life.
Perfect for small parties
For small, intimate parties such as get together dinners, The Walnut is perfect. Soft drapes line the dual aspect windows, and rich panelling and an ornate fireplace complete the look. This is a very popular choice for our ‘We Cook, You Carve’ private dinner package, which we can serve for up to 26 people.
What is the process when guests want to book an event at Coombe Abbey?
If you’re looking to book an event at Coombe Abbey, you can contact us for an appointment with our Events Coordinator. We will book a time for you to come in so you can sit down together and discuss your event and the options available to you. Our Coombe Abbey Events Coordinator will then show you around our hotel so you can get a full feel for the place and for the rooms on offer.
Once a room has been booked, we will create a contract outlining the specifications of your event and your Event Coordinator will be on hand throughout the planning process for anything you need to ask or plan in relation to your event. On the day/evening of your event, you will have your very own host and front of house team throughout, and we can also help arrange any extras such as decorations from our specially sourced team of suppliers, flowers from our in-house florist at our Coombe Abbey Gift Shop, entertainment and overnight stays in one of our relaxing bedchambers for you and your guests.
If you require a room for a conference, we will refer you to our dedicated Conference team who are highly experienced when it comes to setting up your ideal conference package.

Our hugely popular Mediaeval Banquet Bed and Breakfast offers an evening of merriment and mead before retiring to your relaxing bedchamber for a wonderful night’s sleep. The next morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast in one of our elegant settings, which includes the Garden Room restaurant.
For those of you into live shows, our Speakeasy Blinders hotel package is not to be missed! This gloriously entertaining package includes live entertainment, welcome drink on arrival and delicious three-course dinner alongside a full stage show, post-show disco, overnight stay in one of our sumptuous bedchambers and full English breakfast the following morning!

And, alongside wine on arrival and playing the role of detective, you’ll also get a post-show disco, overnight stay in one of our cosy bedchambers and full English breakfast the following morning.
