The magic is back! Luminate Coombe returns to bring a phenomenal festive light experience to all.
Follow this enthralling light and music trail around the Coombe Abbey Park grounds. Along the way, there are 23 interactive exhibits, including a talking tree and a marshmallow fire pit to sit around.
Luminate Coombe runs from 25th November 2023 to 2nd January 2024. Tickets must be booked in advance.
2. Become a certified elf
The Children’s Play Village in Warwickshire is a year-round winner for imaginative little ones. Kids can roam this role play town and become the vet, performer, teacher, or hair stylist their heart desires.
Come Christmas there’s even more excitement: the North Pole Elves are visiting and need new recruits! After elf games, dancing, and music in the Village, your child will gain their Elf Training Certificate.
3. Glide on the ice in Coventry

Broadgate opens their outdoor ice rink from 25th November. Day or night, grab your friends and wrap up warm!

Their unusual Christmas market sees stallholders in Victorian attire, as well as a traditional funfair, live entertainment, and more. Classic treats on offer – like mulled wine and chestnuts – add to this nostalgic journey through time.

Available on Saturdays throughout December, Father Christmas will be at St. Mary’s Guildhall in Coventry with his favourite Christmas tales. This drop-in craft workshop runs from 20th-22nd December and lets you make a handmade fairy or soldier to hang on your tree or give as a last-minute gift.

12. Discover Victorian traditions at St. Mary’s Guildhall
Want to know how Christmas looked 150 years ago?
At our sister site St. Mary’s Guildhall in Coventry, you’ll be transported to centuries past in their Victorian Christmas Special Event on 6th December.
Sing carols by the tree in the Great Hall and enjoy mulled wine and mince pies. You’ll finish the experience with a 1-actor performance featuring highlights from Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
