For dog walking in Coventry and Warwickshire, look no further than Coombe Abbey Park.

With 500 acres of parkland, there is a huge amount of space available for exercising your dog on and off the lead. From the beautiful gardens and woodland to the open fields and lakeside walks, there is plenty to explore.

There’s also nothing we love more than seeing pictures of your furry friends enjoying themselves here at the park. We’ve chosen a few of our four-legged friend’s adventures to mention in this blog…

Take a look at Rupert the Cockapoo pictured looking smart in his bow tie in front of the Coombe Abbey Hotel.

Edna the Boston Terrier had fun playing in the leaves when she visited the park in September for an Autumn walk.

Meet Izzy and her friend Wilbur after getting their paws muddy on their walk.

Say hello to Hugo the Frenchie spotted sticking his tongue out. His owner admired the flowering snowdrops in the park that can be found among the wonderful array of flowers here at Coombe Abbey.

Here’s Malcolm the Miniature Dachshund looking very happy after trying his first ice-cream when he visited the park in August.

Dog-friendly walks

There are a number of different walks to explore with your four-legged friend at Coombe Abbey Country Park, such as taking a stroll down Heron’s Way where you can admire the beautiful sights and sounds of Coombe Pool and more.

The Park has designated ‘off lead’ areas where dogs can be exercised off lead. To protect wildlife and certain vulnerable natural habitats and gardens, there are also ‘on lead’ areas within the park which are clearly signposted.

If you are not sure, you can always ask a member of staff which areas dogs are permitted to be exercised off the lead.

Stay refreshed on your walk

You can visit both our Cafe and Kiosk in the Park for takeaway hot food and drink.. From loaded chips, jacket potatoes, toasties and hot batches, there’s plenty to tuck into on your walk. There’s also a range of hot drinks to takeaway.

What’s more, if your dog is thirsty after their walk, you can find water points with dog bowls at either side of the Visitor Centre.

We hope you have enjoyed meeting some of the friendly and furry faces at Coombe Abbey park as much as we have! Whether it’s a peaceful stroll along the lake or more of a ramble through the woodland, there are lots of different walks for you to enjoy with your dog by your sideEven better, you’re never too far away from a cafe or kiosk where you can get your hands on a refreshment.
