Enjoy the rich variety of Coombe Abbey Park walks in 500 acres of glorious grounds. Don your walking shoes and head to Heron’s Way to take in the beautiful sights and sounds of Coombe Pool and more.
Capability Brown converted Coombe Abbey Hotel’s 17th century park into a new style ‘landscaped park’ when he worked for Lord Craven between 1771 and 1776.
Capability Brown also dammed the Smite Brook, to form the beautifully-shaped Coombe Pool, which elegantly and naturally stretches out west from the Abbey buildings.
Our helpful staff will be happy to assist you with any queries or concerns you may have on your visit. They can also advise on what to see and do in the park that day.
Coombe Pool supports a fishery with 140 pegs, 100 of which are situated on the north and west banks. The fishery is not open to the general public. For more information please call the Information Centre.
